Panorama Sunrises

Not your normal sunrise photos. I’m not a real fan of most sunrise or sunset photos because they usually just don’t look near as good in an image as in real life. These photos were a couple of days apart in Apalachicola FL taken in the winter. The sky just lit up on both days and I just had to shoot them.

The first one was a stich of two photos with a long lens and the glow was so perfect that there is no way to accurately depict it here. It was super nice.

The second photo was a couple of days later as a front moved in from the south and the sky was very odd with the long dark cloud and the peeking of color coming through. It was a little boring but I saw a phragmites seed head sticking up and I thought that a silhouette might work….and it did. Not perfect, but the long format really conveyed the feeling at the time that the sky was long and thin.
