I was a rare passenger on the interstate in Sacramento attending the California International Marathon and was able to tune my long exposure and technique. This was 3 sec at 1/16 at ISO 800 on my Olympus E-M1. I really liked this one. I probably took 30-40 shots and these were the best 3.

Amazing what you can find, even sitting at Bloomindales with your family eating ice cream. Saw this mannequin sitting there on a bold checkerboard floor at the mall and thought: “That’d make a neat picture.” So I took it and did a bit of work to remove some distracting elements and ended with a keeper. I tried in in Black and White, but the little bit of color in the mannequin’s feet and shoes that helped, so I left it. Olympus E-M1.1 with 12-50 kit lens

Walking around the wet, wet streets of Old Town Sacramento in early December at the California International marathon, I saw this nice assemblage of wet reflections and shadows. Taken in color but desaturated in Lr. Olympus E-M1, 12-40/2.8 Zuiko.
